    Hemangiomas Treatment

Hemangiomas or vascular birthmarks are a form of benign growths made of blood vessels. They can occur anywhere on the body, but mostly appear on the face, scalp, chest or back. Hemangiomas may be present at birth and spontanously go away without any treatment. Cause is unknown. Usually they are not dangerous, but sometimes they can bleed or ulcerate. Hemangioma is one of the most common growths in children. Girls are more likely to have them. Treatment of hemangiomas include medications, laser therapy, electrocoagulation or cryotherapy.
